The Credit Card Gnome

I can't stop thinking about how hilarious it is that the charges that alerted my credit card to fraud were for dating services. I keep imagining the gnome at Credit Card Headquarters whose job it is to look at everything I buy. (I know the gnome is actually a data mining program, but gnome is funnier.) And here's what I'm seeing:

HEY, WAIT A MINUTE! THIS IS NOT MY HUMAN! MY HUMAN IS A BOOK-READING, SKIRT WEARING, SENSIBLY SHOD PERSON WHO DOESN'T COOK!

I'm sorry, it's just getting funnier and funnier the more I think about it.

I noticed you are reading a Tanya French novel..I read her first book IN THE WOODS. It was a fantastic read until the end. The end INFURIATED me SO MUCH that I crossed her off my list. Did you read THE LIKENESS? That was her
2nd book...I would like to know how you like her.....

I love her! I definitely get your frustration with In The Woods, but I was more satisfied with it than you were. I read The Likeness (I'm a convert--I'll read pretty much anything she writes now), and it was good, but I have to admit it didn't grab me quite the way In The Woods did. I'm loving this one. It's hard to put down.

The fact that she did not RESOLVE what happened IN THE WOODS made me CRAZY....I thought it was very unfair to her audience. Let me know when you finish if I can trust that she does not do the same thing in her other novels....
